The Midnight Lover

A bright big moon

Shines light

On the stealthy ripples

That gently rock

The boat

My body flows

With this rhythm

That has no melody

A still silence

Consumes the air

As the cackles and coos

Of the water beneath

Stop for a moment,

Hinting at the arrival

Of my lover

A strong breeze

Suddenly takes over,

Tilting the boat

Shaking the water

And trying to unwind

The fine textile

Wrapped around my body

I struggle to let go

Of my consciousness

I struggle to let go

Of my guard

Against the gaze

Of the invisible wind

“No one’s watching,”

Whispers a voice in my ear

“Let go, Let it go,”

It whispers further

The yearning and impatient wind

Rocks the boat

One last time

With the strength

Of a million horses

My body once again

Flows to the rhythm

But now wishes

To dance to the melody

Played by the cold breeze

As my blood heats up,

My breath leaves my body,

Faster and faster

Sweat drips

From every inch

Of my soul’s vessel

And dampens the veil protecting me

From nature’s eyes

Unable to control

This overwhelming desire

My frail fingers let go, at last

Of the black veil surrounding me

As the veil unwinds

Every inch of my body

Exposes itself to the wind

Becoming shy

Upon every little touch

My hair plunges down

Reaches the depth

Of the boat’s lair

As I rest my naked body

Waiting to make love

With my forbidden lover

The heat dies down

Little by little

Upon each cold kiss

One on my rosy lips

One on my tender breasts

One so subtle

Below my neck

And more and more

I close my eyes

As my senses heighten

My feelings peak

And my body becomes numb

From the wind’s

Cold embrace

As the wind

Gently caresses

Its hands

Over my soft breasts

A surge of femininity

Gushes through my veins

Soon, a vision appears

In my mind

That carefully details

My gorgeous physique

Long arms and legs

Tiny feet at the bottom

Toes and fingers

Sticking out like

Tiny branches of a maple tree,

With a circular face on top

Studded with

Almond eyes, a sharp nose, and wide lips,

All sheltered by

A sheath of dark brown skin

Oh my, Oh my!

What more can I say?

Of the beauty that God has sculpted

With great confidence and pride!

This is indeed a union of heavenly bliss,

Blessed by the dark night skies

And the glittering full moon above,

For I have found eternal love,

A love within myself

As one final kiss wets my soft lips,

I slowly open my eyes,

Witnessing the blank,

White ceiling above

Covered in thick blankets,

And insulating lounge wear,

I reminisce

Last night’s

Quintessential experience

Pots bash my door

And voices lash out

But I step down from my bed

With a newfound confidence

As night falls,

However,

I rush back

Into my lover’s arms,

And the cycle goes on…
